Government

A city-administrator form of government governs the City of Siloam Springs. The Administrator reports to a seven-member board of directors and a mayor. This progressive form of government has witnessed continual growth since its incorporation more than 20 years ago. Because the city owns its electric utility, profits from the sale of electricity to residents and industries stay within the community providing infrastructure, police and fire protection, and beautiful parks.

The Siloam Springs Park & Recreation Department offers many opportunities for play including several spacious parks and a Family Aquatic Center complete with 2 large water slides.

The Siloam Springs Fire Department is state-of-the-art. A 14,000 square-foot facility houses our main fire department and central emergency system. The Siloam Springs Police Departmentbuilding houses a short term municipal jail that will hold 28 inmates. The north side of the building houses the Benton County District – Siloam Springs Division Court and the south side houses the police department.

is made up by 28 sworn officers, four community service officers, and 11 dispatchers. Animal Control falls under the directorate of the Chief of Police with 1 director and 3 personnel.

Cecil Smith Field, a growing facility with over 2,000 corporate flights yearly, is owned and managed by the city. Both plane and pilot rentals are available from the fixed based operator.Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) is just 30 minutes from our area. Drake field, located in Fayetteville, is 45 minutes away and Tulsa International Airport (TUL) is just over an hour away to the west.
